About Our Client
Navigate Australia is recruiting on behalf of our client, No.1 Shopfitting, a Melbourne-based shopfitting business providing design, construction and installation solutions for commercial spaces. The company works across retail, hospitality, beauty, health, office and other commercial environments, supporting projects from initial concept and design through planning, procurement, construction, installation and handover.
As the business continues to grow its project portfolio and in-house design capability, our client is seeking an experienced Multimedia Designer to join its Design & Visualisation function.
About the Role
Working alongside the Interior Designer, Draftsperson and Project Manager, the Multimedia Designer will create high-quality visual and multimedia content that helps communicate commercial design concepts to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
The role combines visual communication, 2D/3D visualisation, digital presentation and multimedia production in a practical, project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop visual and multimedia concepts from client briefs and approved design directions.
- Create 2D and 3D visualisations, rendered images, digital mock-ups and presentation graphics for commercial interior and shopfitting projects.
- Produce multimedia presentations using graphics, imagery, typography, animation, video and other digital elements where appropriate.
- Translate design concepts, drawings, material selections and project information into clear client-facing visual presentations.
- Develop visual materials showing proposed shopfronts, interiors, fixtures, finishes, signage and branding elements.
- Work closely with the Interior Designer, Draftsperson and Project Manager to ensure visualisations accurately reflect approved project information.
- Create and edit graphics, project imagery, video and multimedia assets for presentations, case studies, digital portfolios and the company’s website.
- Refine visual and multimedia materials in response to project and client feedback.
- Organise and maintain project graphics, imagery, multimedia files and other digital assets.
- Manage assigned design work and deliver materials within agreed project timelines.
About You
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Communication Design, Visual Communication or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in multimedia design, visual communication, graphic design, digital content production or a related creative design role.
- Strong skills in professional graphic and multimedia design software, including Adobe Creative Suite or comparable applications.
- Experience with 2D and/or 3D visualisation, rendering or digital presentation tools.
- Good understanding of typography, composition, colour, imagery and visual communication.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and project information and translate them into effective visual content.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project deliverables.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in commercial interiors, architecture, retail design, construction or another project-based environment would be advantageous.
- Vietnamese and/or Chinese language skills would be an advantage.
